Some Tips on Creating the Right Photograph

Get a digital photo shot at a photo studio. Ask them to give you the photo in the specified size.
If you are scanning your photograph please
1. Scan at 300dpi
2. Open the file in an image editor like Photoshop, Paint, Photo Editor etc. and resize the image to the correct width first. Remember to choose the "constrain proportions" option otherwise the photo will become distorted.
3. Then crop the photo to the required size - remember to select the relevant parts of the picture.

Please do not send photographs upto your waist - your face should cover the major part of the photo
Please do not send photographs taken on your vacations, in gardens, besides lakes, with mirrors behind you etc.
Please ensure that the photo is of good quality with proper exposure i.e. not too dark or not too bright.
